Summer camp 2002, was spent at Ockanickon Scout Reservation. Luck was with us this year. Instead of the first choice of Week 6 for our stay at camp, we were forced to go on Week 7, which turned out (weatherwise) to be the best week of them all. From Wednesday on, the weather was BEAUTIFUL.
We had one unfortunate accident, from fooling around, which sent one of the troop to Doylestown Hospital where he received four stitches just above his eyebrow. One other member had to be taken to the Health Lodge after he was hit in the lower back by his canoe which had been flipped during Troop Boating. Mr. Thorne was becoming well known by the Health officer.
We went to camp with 14 boys and 3 adult leaders (and managed to come home with hte same number). The boys earned a total of 43 merit badges. Badges attained included, Environmental Scince, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citzenship in the World, Communications, Swimming, Life Saving, First Aid, Fingerprinting, Leatherworking, and Pets. The troop also labored over recinstruction of the rocky Dan Beard path for their Service project.
All in all, it was a great week. The members of the troop again showed why their leaders consider them the best troop in the county. Their unique way of pulling together and working as patrols and as a troop earned them the honor patrol, and honor troop awards at camp. The three most used phrases during the week were, "Freakin'," "What time is it?" and "Mr. Bacon..."

PICTURES

A large number of pictures were taken this year. I downloaded the camera at least three times to clear off the pictures. Because of the amount, I have put them into groupings for easier loading and viewing.
